01Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated automatically when you use the Site. Categories may include:

• Contact & order details — name, email, organization, order number, and message content submitted via forms.
• Transaction data — processed by Stripe, our payment provider; we do not store full payment-card details, and shipping addresses are held by Stripe rather than stored on our servers.
• Usage data — standard server and edge logs (device, browser, pages requested). We run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

02How we use information

We use information to fulfill orders, provide documentation and support, operate and improve the Site, communicate about products and updates you opt into, and comply with legal obligations. Where such laws apply, we rely on performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site), consent (optional updates you subscribe to) and legal obligation (records we must keep).

03Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers (shipping, payment, analytics, email) under appropriate agreements, and where required by law. Our processors are Stripe (payments and shipping addresses), Cloudflare (hosting, edge network and database) and Resend (transactional email). Each processes data under its own safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where data leaves your region. We disclose information only to comply with law, enforce our terms or protect our rights.

04Cookies & analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We set only strictly-necessary cookies: a session cookie for signed-in researchers and, where a referral link is used, a short-lived attribution cookie. We set no advertising or third-party analytics cookies, so no consent banner is required.

05Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described here and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Order records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires; account data is retained until you ask us to delete it; server logs rotate on a short fixed schedule.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. Where GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or similar laws apply, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, and we will verify requests via the email on your account before acting. We do not sell personal information.

07Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay, consistent with applicable law.
